An early lead helped North Shore Knights 10U defeat the 4 and 1 West Islip Lions 8-3 on Thursday. North Shore Knights move to 4-2 on the season. Noah Catandella and Max Kemnitzer led the bottom of the first off with walks before Jeremy Katz drove in Catandella with a sacrifice fly. Luca Ierano followed with a triple driving in Max Kemnitzer to give the Knights a 2-1 lead. Luca stole home to push the lead to 3-1.
Jeremy Katz pitched the North Shore Knights 10U to victory. Jeremy allowed five hits and two runs over four innings, striking out 11. Grayson Valdes came in and threw two strong innings in relief out of the bullpen, striking out 4 batters and allowing only one run.
North Shore Knights got the bats going again in the bottom of the second. Cameron Lund singled to start the rally. Ryan O’Shea followed with a base hit. After Kai Ramalho walked, Noah Catandella doubled to center field driving in Cameron and Ryan to give the Knights a 5-2 lead. In the bottom of the 5th inning, the Knights extended their lead to 8-2 when Jeremy Katz and Luca Ierano stole home.
North Shore Knights 10U collected seven hits on the day. Ryan O’Shea and Jeremy Katz all managed multiple hits for North Shore Knights 10U. Jeremy and Ryan each collected two hits to lead North Shore Knights 10U. North Shore Knights 10U stole 17 bases during the game as four players stole more than one. Luca Ierano led the way with four.
The Knights will go for their third win in a row when they take on the 3-1 Commack Bombers on Saturday.

Jeremy Katz was bad news for opposing pitchers on Thursday, driving in four runs on three hits to lead North Shore Knights 10U past Half Hollow Hills 12-6 on Thursday. Jeremy drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the second, and a single in the fifth.
The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. North Shore Knights 10U collected nine hits and Half Hollow Hills had four.
North Shore Knights 10U got things started in the first inning. North Shore Knights 10U scored one run when Jeremy singled in Noah Catandella who led off with a walk.
North Shore Knights 10U pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second inning, Kai Ramalho singled on a 2-2 count, scoring in Cameron Lund. Max Kemnitzer then doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, and Jeremy Katz singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
North Shore Knights 10U tallied six runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by North Shore Knights 10U was led by Jeremy Katz, Luca Ierano, John Considine, Grayson Valdes, Cameron Lund, and Jackson Zuklie, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Luca Ierano was the winning pitcher for North Shore Knights 10U. Luca allowed four hits and five runs over two innings, striking out four. Max threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen for the save.
Jeremy went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead North Shore Knights 10U in hits. Jeremy led North Shore Knights 10U with five stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with 25 stolen bases. The game ended when Lucian Othman ran a runner down who attempted to steal home.
The Knights move to 3-2 on the season and will face West Islip Lions on Thursday night.

North Shore Knights 10U stole the lead late in the game in a 5-3 victory over Long Island Vikings on Thursday. The win moves the Knights to 2-0. The game was tied at three with North Shore Knights 10U batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jeremy Katz doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring in Noah Catandella. Following a walk to Luca Ierano, Lucian Othman hit a line drive base hit to center to drive in Jeremy Katz to put the Knights up 5-3.
North Shore Knights 10U knotted the game up at three in the bottom of the fourth inning when Cameron Lund drew a walk, scoring in Max Kemnitzer.
Luca Ierano earned the victory on the hill for North Shore Knights 10U. The righty allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out four. Despite being hit by a fastball on the knee, Luca came back out and battled.
Jeremy started the game for North Shore Knights 10U. The righthander lasted three innings, allowing one hit and three runs while striking out eight.

North Shore Knights 10U jumped out to an early lead over West Warriors Blue and took home a 16-2 victory on Saturday. North Shore Knights 10U scored on a walk by Luca Ierano, a stolen base by Luke Scala, and a stolen base by Jeremy Katz in the first inning.
North Shore Knights 10U secured the victory thanks to nine runs in the second inning. The big inning was thanks to walks by Grayson Paul, Grayson Valdes, and Ryan O’Shea, singles by Max Kemnitzer and Luke Scala, and a double by Jeremy Katz.
Max Kemnitzer took the win for North Shore Knights 10U. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out four. The trumpets were blaring as Luca Ierano threw two solid innings in relief out of the bullpen striking out five of six batters. Luca recorded the last six outs of the game.
